The Lebanese community and the Maronite Order are preparing for the inauguration of St. Sharbel Church in Florence (formerly St. Agatha Church), where Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Raï will preside over the mass. He arrived in Rome yesterday for this purpose. Also arriving in Milan was the Minister of Interior, Municipalities, and Tourism Judge Bassam Mawlawi, along with the Acting Director of Administration and Civil Status at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities Najwa Souidan Farah, the Minister of Tourism's Ambassador for Religious Tourism, Media Josephine Abi Ghosn, Judge Mirai Malak, and Major Nader Qasb, head of the Ministry of Interior's unit. They were received at Milan's Malpensa Airport by the Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Florence, Sharbel Al Shbir, who renovated the church at his own expense, and the Consul of Lebanon in Milan, Khalil Mohammad. The official delegation was accompanied by Lebanon’s Ambassador in Rome, Mira Daher, and Lebanon’s Ambassador to the Vatican, Fred Elias Khazen.
