The Sporting Club Beirut claimed the title of the Lebanese Basketball League after defeating their guests, Wisdom, by a margin of 16 points, 113-97, in the fifth match of the championship's final series. The Sporting Club secured the title after leading 4-1 in a best-of-seven series, where the first to achieve four wins is crowned champion. The title was clinched under the leadership of Wael Arakji, the best player in the "Asian Cup 2023."
The Beirut derby saw Wisdom leading in the first and second quarters, ending the first half with a 4-point advantage for the visiting team, before the Sporting Club, led by Arakji and professionals Thon Maker and Jonathan Simmons, made a comeback, turning their deficit into a 16-point victory. The Sporting Club had previously won the first match (104-58) before losing the second away by a single point (85-84). They then won the third match (111-78) and the fourth away (90-78).
