Medvedev: World War III is Approaching

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, warned that "World War III is approaching," stressing that "Russia will respond to the shelling conducted by Ukraine using cluster munitions." He wrote via Telegram that "the preliminary results of today's NATO summit were in line with Russia's prior expectations," noting that "the special military operation will continue with the same objectives, the most important of which is to reject Kyiv's attempts to join NATO."

In his remarks on the initial outcomes of the NATO summit today in Vilnius, Medvedev paid particular attention to the decision to invite Ukraine to join NATO, even though the timeframe for its accession was left open and no conditions were specified. He also pointed to the decision to increase military assistance provided to the Kyiv regime.

Medvedev stated that "all Western assistance to the Kyiv regime with various weapons, the latest being cluster munitions, is destined for a dead end," adding that "World War III is approaching." He asked, "What does all this mean for us? Everything is clear; the special military operation will continue with the same objectives, one of which is to reject the group of Nazis in Kyiv from joining NATO, which we have insisted upon from the beginning and is considered impossible for us."

Medvedev indicated that "this goal means that Russia will have to eliminate this group," emphasizing the necessity to "complete this plan to end the conflict and establish peace in Ukraine."
