The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, the arrest of a "dangerous ISIS member in the Lutfiya district." In a statement, it was mentioned that "through a proactive and qualitative operation, the intelligence and security detachments of Babil managed to eliminate a dangerous terrorist belonging to ISIS, who had executed numerous terrorist operations targeting citizens and our security forces."
The directorate added that "the arrest operation took place after luring the suspect in the Lutfiya district, and through a well-planned ambush, he was captured in coordination with the 59th Brigade of the 17th Division," indicating that "an arrest warrant was issued against him under the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law."
