Discussion on the Start of the School Year and the Fate of Displaced Students

Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Halabi, discussed with a delegation from the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, which included MPs Ihab Hamadeh and Raed Barou, as well as the Public Relations Officer in the Educational Mobilization of "Hezbollah," Youssef Al-Bassam, the commencement of the school year, particularly in official secondary schools, and the condition of school buildings in the northern Bekaa and Jbeil areas. Notably, the building of the official school in Lassa is nearing completion and will soon be ready to welcome students. The minister presented the ministry's plan in light of displacement from several southern villages. The delegation praised the "ongoing efforts made by the minister and the ministry's team, especially amidst the displacement," while Halabi affirmed the "right of students who have moved from one area to another to enroll in official schools in the villages and cities to which they have fled, as well as the right of teachers to join the schools near their new residences, and to inform the educational regions of these developments."
