State Security Arrests Impersonator of UN Official in Blat and Circulates His Photo

The State Security in Mount Lebanon – Baabda Office arrested (G.M.), who impersonated multiple identities including Hadi Harb, Jawad Harb, and Sajid Maatouk, in the town of Blat, in front of an apartment he rents in the Maatouk building. In a statement, it was mentioned that "during the investigation, he confessed to committing fraud and impersonating the role of the external relations officer at the United Nations - Beirut, deceiving citizens into recruiting them for the United Nations in exchange for financial amounts by filling out forged application forms, and he also forged an employee ID at the United Nations headquarters. He has been kept in custody following a review by the competent judiciary and his mobile phone was confiscated, which contained forged employment cards and application forms. Based on the judiciary's instructions, the General Directorate of State Security has circulated his photo to the media and requests that citizens who fell victim to his actions contact the State Security offices in Mount Lebanon to take appropriate legal action."
