The "Strong Lebanon" bloc held its regular meeting chaired by MP Gibran Bassil and issued a statement indicating that it "followed the ongoing efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza." It called, in contrast, for the approval of a ceasefire in the south in alignment with the bloc’s position to separate the south from Gaza and not to allow any military actions to be launched from there. The bloc urged for the separation of the presidential elections from the ongoing war and the use of all available means to elect a President of the Republic, whether through consensus or election. The bloc rejected any "looseness of arms in Lebanon, regardless of the source." It expressed regret "for the failure to consider its proposals during the session to extend the municipalities" and announced that it would present a legislative proposal in this regard and consult about it with supportive groups. The bloc demanded that the Chair of the Administration and Justice Committee include on its agenda the law proposed by the bloc in 2018 concerning the regulation of the entry and exit of displaced persons, and urged the parliamentary committees to approve all legislative proposals put forward by the bloc to resolve the Syrian refugee crisis in order to expedite their return to their homeland.
