The commander of the Internal Security Forces in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran, reported that two "foreign terrorists" attacked an Internal Security Forces patrol in the city of Iranshahr on Friday evening while it was on duty. Brigadier General Doost Ali Jalilian stated on Saturday that "during the establishment of order and security by the Internal Security Forces in Iranshahr, two armed assailants attacked the patrol, and thanks to the vigilance of the police, the evildoers were killed. A pistol, 16 rounds of ammunition, a hand grenade fuse, and a hand grenade were found at the scene." He affirmed that the Internal Security Forces, through their sacrifices, will not tolerate any security disorder and will strongly confront those who disrupt order and security.
