The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon stated: "With great pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance announces the martyrdom of the mujahid Abbas Muhammad Nasser 'Abu Haidar', born in 1979 from the town of Tireflesh, and the martyr mujahid Bilal Wajih Alaa Al-Din 'Basel', born in 1984 from the town of Majdel Selm in southern Lebanon, who became martyrs on the road to Jerusalem."
