Macron: Dialogue with Russia Must Continue

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed, in an interview with La Tribune, his belief in the necessity of maintaining dialogue with Russia. Macron stated, "We act rightly when we keep the door open for negotiations with Russia. Otherwise, we would abandon the international order, and therefore peace and security." At the same time, he announced the continuation of a policy of "strategic ambiguity" towards Russia. The French president viewed the capabilities and range of Russian ballistic missiles as a danger to European countries, adding, "In Ukraine, the security of Europeans is at stake, as it is located 1,500 kilometers from our borders. If Russia wins, there will be no security immediately afterward, whether in Romania, Poland, Lithuania, or France. The power and range of Russian ballistic missiles put us all at risk."
