A fire broke out while filming the eighth season of the series "El Kabeer Awy," engulfing the shooting location on Sunday evening in Giza. The Giza Civil Defense Operations Room received a report from the Emergency Police Department about thick smoke and high flames coming from a villa in the Mansouriya village.
Major Hazem Farouk, Director of the General Administration for Civil Defense in Giza, dispatched four firefighting vehicles to control the blaze and minimize damage, led by his deputy for firefighting and land rescue. A security force also arrived at the fire scene under the supervision of Major General Samah El-Hamili, the Giza Police Chief, to investigate the causes and circumstances of the fire and assess the damages.
The series "El Kabeer Awy 8" stars Ahmed Mekky, Rahma Ahmed, Bayoumi Fouad, Mostafa Gharib, Hisham Ismail, Mohamed Salam, Sama Ibrahim, Hossein Hegag, Hatem Salah, and other artists, along with appearances from several guest stars. The show is produced by Synergy Company, written by Mostafa Saqr and Mohamed Ezz El-Din, and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy.
