The Chinese Academy of Sciences and Technology (CASC) announced that the astronauts at the Chinese space station successfully completed an open space mission. In a post by the agency, it was stated: "The astronauts at the Chinese space station executed an open space mission during which they installed equipment to protect the station from space debris. The astronauts exited the station on Tuesday, May 28, at 18:58 Beijing time (13:58 Moscow time), and their open space mission lasted for 8.5 hours, during which they successfully completed the required tasks." CASC noted that the astronauts who undertook the mission are from the Shenzhou 18 spacecraft, which arrived at the station on April 25. It is expected that these astronauts will remain on board for six months, during which they will conduct numerous scientific experiments and technological tests.
