Iraqi Air Force Surprises Saudi Union Club (Video)

The Iraqi Air Force Club inflicted a significant defeat on its guest, the Saudi Union Club, with a score of 2-0 in a match held today, Monday, during the fourth round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League. The Iraqi team’s goals were scored by players Ali Jassim and Mohannad Abdul Rahim Karrar in the 44th and 52nd minutes of the match, respectively, which took place at the François Hariri Stadium in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

The Union Club suffered its first defeat after three consecutive victories in the current season of the AFC Champions League, leaving its points total at 9 in the lead of Group C. Meanwhile, the Iraqi Air Force Club achieved its second win, alongside a draw and a defeat, raising its points to 7 and moving up to second place in the standings, awaiting the result of the match between Sepahan Isfahan of Iran, currently in third place with 4 points, and guest Olmaliq of Uzbekistan, who is in fourth place with no points, later this evening.
