Announcement of the

News published by local media in Iraq regarding the "murder" of social media influencer and content creator Noor Mohammed has sparked controversy in the country, while Iraqi security authorities have yet to officially confirm the incident. Noor, famous as "Noor PM," led a controversial life due to the videos he posted, even though Iraq is considered a largely conservative country.

A correspondent for "Alhurra" reported from an unnamed security source that Noor was "killed by an armed assailant on a motorcycle" who shot him in the Dawoodi neighborhood of the upscale Mansour area in western Baghdad, where he died instantly.

Videos circulating on social media are believed to capture the "assassination," but "Alhurra" has not been able to independently verify the videos. The local agency "Alsumaria News" quoted its security sources stating that Noor was "shot three times."

**Who is Noor PM?**

According to security sources, Noor is around 23 years old, but he has been controversial for years due to his videos in which he wears makeup, wigs, and sometimes women's clothing. Recently, Noor appeared in an interview on social media where he stated that he is "better than a thousand women," although he had previously stated that "his gender is male."

Noor's videos during his life have caused significant division, and his photos shared on social media show him frequently visiting nightclubs both in Baghdad and in the Kurdistan region. While many criticized his lifestyle, his violent assassination has triggered a wave of shock in the country.

Iraq continues to witness the killings of activists, bloggers, and security experts, as well as the occasional targeting of social media celebrities either through assassination or legal actions. Noor's murder occurred just days before the fifth anniversary of the killing of Iraqi artist and blogger Tara Fares, who was murdered in a manner similar to Noor's, by a motorcyclist.
