A statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division: "On April 25, 2024, in the area of Al-Mashrifiya – in front of the Jaafari Sharia Court, a citizen (M. M., born in 1968) and his son (A. M.) assaulted lawyer (S. A. H., born in 1977, Lebanese), the representative of the second wife's case, and stole from her the divorce case file before fleeing to an unknown location. Immediately, the operational units of the Internal Security Forces began procedures to locate them and work on their arrest. As a result of continued efforts, the Information Division identified (M. M.)'s whereabouts in the area of Al-Mariyja. On May 3, 2024, after careful surveillance, one of the division's patrols arrested him in the mentioned area. The arrested individual was placed in the relevant department for legal action against him, based on the judiciary's instructions, and efforts are ongoing to arrest (A. M.)."
