Three people died and 16 others were injured due to the collapse of a balcony in a nightclub in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, from a height of 6 meters. The city's council secretary, Jorge Hernandez, stated, "The uncontrolled presence of people at this event put pressure on one of the balconies on the third floor of the shopping center (Altos), causing this tragedy." Local media reported that 5 of the injured sustained serious injuries and are in intensive care. The city's municipality announced that the shopping center housing the nightclub is closed. According to preliminary information, the event organizers did not have the necessary permits to hold the event.
