Israel on the United Nations'

Israeli Channel 13 reported that United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has informed officials that he has decided to include Israel on the UN's blacklist of countries that kill children. Guterres pointed out that "the bombing of an UNRWA school in Gaza is a terrifying new example of the suffering of civilians." In this context, Guterres expressed, during his participation today, Thursday, in a memorial ceremony for UN staff who died, held at the General Assembly in New York, his "deep sadness, because despite best efforts, the UN has been unable to protect its staff in Gaza." "I feel very sad that despite our best efforts, we have not been able to protect our staff in #Gaza," the UN Secretary-General said at the event honoring the memory of 188 UN staff members who lost their lives in 2023 while on duty, including 135 in Gaza.
