Indian international Vishal Choudhary won the title at the Al Ain Winter Rapid Chess Championship, organized by the Al Ain Chess and Mental Sports Club, as part of the Al Ain Winter Chess Festival. The tournament saw a record participation of around 120 players from 14 countries, including the UAE, England, France, Russia, Lithuania, India, Turkey, the Philippines, Egypt, Syria, Oman, Algeria, Sudan, and Palestine. Vishal Choudhary secured the championship gold with a score of 8 points. Filipino international Irvin Francis came in second with 7.5 points, while Indian international Vihan Domir placed third with 7 points.
Indian international Bhattacharya Aandria won the award for the best female player with a score of 6 points. Ali Hamdan Al-Sharifi received the best Emirati player award with 6 points, while Reem Salem Al-Dhaheri was honored as the best Emirati female player. Mohamed Hamad Al-Khamiri won the best player award from Al Ain, and Salama Majed received the award for the best female player from Al Ain. Saeed Nasser Al-Shamsi was recognized as the best beginner player, and Reem Salem Al-Omairi was awarded the best beginner female player. Indian junior Abhik Bhat won the award for the best junior under 14 with a score of 6.5 points, while his compatriot junior Shree Ramesh received the award for the best junior female under 14 with a score of 4.5 points.
The Al Ain Winter Rapid Chess Championship was held over 9 rounds according to the Swiss system over two days, with each player given 15 minutes thinking time per game, plus an additional 5 seconds for each move from the start, in accordance with Fischer's system for rapid chess competitions. Emirati international referee Ahmed Al-Naemi, the tournament director, and UAE Chess Federation referee Moza Al-Mahri, head of the referees, managed the tournament.
