Title: Minister Al-Hajj Hassan Discusses Activating the Office of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in Syria

Agriculture Minister Abbas Al-Hajj Hassan, alongside the Executive Director of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dukhairi, and their accompanying delegation, arrived in Lattakia governorate, together with Syrian Agriculture Minister Mohammad Hasan Qatanah and General Director of ACSAD Nasr Al-Din Al-Obeid. This visit aims to develop relations and activate the organization's office in Syria, continue the work of the Arab Forest Institute, assess the situation regarding forest fires, and provide support in this area.

The delegation first visited the rural family products market near the Directorate of Agriculture, observing the key products on display and marketing methods. Two meetings were held, the first at the Directorate of Agriculture attended by Director Engineer Bassem Douba, and the second at the Lattakia governorate building with Governor Amer Helal.

The delegation also convened at the Arab Technical Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries under the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in Lattakia, the only institute of its kind in the Arab world affiliated with the organization. During the meetings, the importance of enhancing cooperation with organizations, especially Arab ones, which play a vital role in strengthening Arab relations and supporting the agricultural sector across Arab countries, was emphasized. The role of the Agricultural Development Organization in continuing the work of the Forest Institute, the need for its development, securing its requirements, improving its education standards, and providing support in fire-fighting efforts, including necessary equipment to assist firefighters and facilitate early warning and rapid extinguishing operations, was also underscored.
