Class Presides Over the Meeting of the Organizing Committee for Arab Youth Capital 2023

The organizing committee for "Beirut, Arab Youth Capital 2023," established by decision No. 161/1/2023 issued by the Minister of Youth and Sports, held its first meeting yesterday at the invitation of its president. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Youth and Sports, George Class, and attended by Joseph Saadallah (Vice President), Hassan Sharara (Capital Director), Hussein Omar (Committee Secretary), and members: Colonel Khaled Nasser (General Directorate of Internal Security Forces), Abir Abu Zaki (UNICEF), Ahmad Ramadan (Lebanese Youth Houses Federation), Charbel Qabalan (Arab Volunteer Union), Haidar Qalit (Ministry), Samir Rizk (Minister's Advisor), and Mahmoud Abu Najah.

The committee expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Najib Mikati for his patronage of the capital and its opening ceremony, to the Arab League and the Council of Arab Ministers for Youth and Sports for the donation provided to support the Ministry of Youth and Sports in implementing the capital project, and to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by Minister Ahmed Al-Mubrak, for their donation for the same purpose.

The committee decided to hold the opening ceremony of the capital at the Grand Serail at 3 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, followed by an official dinner that evening. The committee approved the content and arrangement of the opening ceremony after reviewing its details presented by the Capital Director and decided to engage a specialized company for its preparation, which will include a dramatic film produced specifically for this purpose, and requested all visual media to broadcast the event live and display promotional advertisements.

The organizing committee thanked Its Communications and Deputy Wadha Al-Sadiq for designing the capital's logo and printed materials free of charge, and also thanked Promo Media, represented by Mr. Imad Jumaa, and Vifad, represented by Mr. Dani Kharaat, for agreeing to broadcast a promotional campaign free of charge on electronic billboards, as well as Whish for providing free mobile phone lines as a gift to all participants in various capital activities.

The committee decided to launch the first activity titled "Arab Forum for Economic and Social Empowerment" from July 19 to 23, and approved the budget prepared for the capital and its activities.
