Death of Saudi Prince Who Played for Al-Nasr Club

The Saudi royal court mourned today, Tuesday, the passing of Prince Mamdouh bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a former star of Al-Nasr football club. Prince Mamdouh had a distinguished career with Al-Nasr, serving as a player, administrator, and honorary member of the club. Al-Nasr football club bid farewell to one of its sports icons and former captain, Prince Mamdouh, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 79.

Al-Nasr wrote on its account on the "X" platform: "With deep sadness and sorrow, the Board of Directors of Al-Nasr Club offers condolences and sympathy on the death of the former leader of Al-Nasr and honorary member, Prince Mamdouh bin Saud bin Abdulaziz. May God have mercy on him and grant him eternal rest in His vast paradise."

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Youm," Prince Mamdouh had a passion for football since childhood and joined Al-Nasr, where he contributed to many achievements, especially in the 1974 Crown Prince Cup final.

Prince Mamdouh bin Saud wore Al-Nasr's jersey for 8 years, specifically from 1968 to 1976. After retiring from the fields, he took on the role of football director at Al-Nasr before becoming an honorary member of the club. In recent years, Prince Mamdouh had been away from the sports scene due to illness.
