The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division reported that "intelligence was obtained about unknown individuals forming a gang that was engaged in forging official transactions and documents. Following this, the specialized units of the division began their field and investigative procedures to identify and arrest the gang members. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, their identities were established, and they are: K. A. (born in 1979, Lebanese) and B. D. (born in 1973, Lebanese), both of whom have arrest warrants for forgery and fraud. On April 18, 2024, after careful observation and surveillance, a patrol of the division arrested them in a well-organized ambush in the Al-Badawi area. Upon searching them, four forged stamps, forged official documents and transactions, and a sum of $800 in counterfeit bills were seized. During interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding their prior involvement in forging individual civil registry data for families of Syrian nationality. Legal action was taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authority, based on the directive of the relevant judiciary."
