Title: Al-Hassan: The Airport Movement is Promising and Employees' Demands are Justified

Fadi Al-Hassan, the head of Rafik Hariri International Airport, stated that "the employees' demands are justified," and noted that there is serious attention being given to this matter. Al-Hassan highlighted that "the meeting with the technical departments over the past days, in coordination with the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, who will convey the employees' demands to the relevant authorities, is ongoing. There is also daily follow-up to increase the night shift compensation for the on-duty employees in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, in exchange for their continued work." He also confirmed that "the airport movement is good compared to last year and that the numbers are encouraging, hoping for a promising summer season."

Starting in May, the operating hours of Beirut International Airport will be reduced from 24 hours to just 8 hours, as the working hours for technical employees in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation will be limited to regular administrative working hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. The airport will close its doors and flights will cease in the evenings, during holidays, and on official days off, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, due to "the government's neglect of the demands of 200 technical employees in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation."
