The Situation in Ain al-Hilweh Between Khreis and the Palestinian Forces Delegation

A leadership delegation from the Palestinian Forces Alliance in the Tyre region, headed by the political bureau secretary of Hamas, Abdul Majid Al-Awad, met today with MP Ali Khreis of the "Development and Liberation" bloc in his office in Tyre, attended by his office director, Haidar Jafal. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, the Palestinian situation in Lebanon, especially what happened in the Ain al-Hilweh camp.

The delegation provided an explanation on the developments of the Palestinian cause, particularly the escalation of resistance actions in the West Bank, the repercussions of the blockade imposed on Gaza, and the situation in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The delegation emphasized the "escalation of resistance actions in the West Bank, which constantly disrupts the security and military apparatus of the occupying force."

Regarding the Ain al-Hilweh camp, the delegation deemed the unfortunate events as "unacceptable and condemnable," noting that "the Joint Action Authority has formed a committee to investigate the perpetrators of these events." The delegation expressed gratitude to President Nabih Berri, the leadership of the Amal Movement, and all Lebanese figures who "contributed to stabilizing the ceasefire."

In turn, MP Khreis reaffirmed the "centrality of the Palestinian cause," praising the "resistance efforts in the West Bank, which have accumulated experience and strength in recent years, making it resistant to defeat and containment." He reiterated his condemnation of the painful events in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, emphasizing that "the focus should remain on Jerusalem and Palestine, and that we should not allow the planting of discord and division in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon, as confirmed by President Berri, who is keen on the security and stability of the camps and their surroundings, so that the Palestinian people can live in safety, resolving any disputes through dialogue and understanding."
