Kuwaiti media personality Mai Al-Eidan revealed that the Ministry of Information has allowed the cast of the series "One Wife Is Not Enough" to return to acting in the country, provided they sign commitments not to film outside Kuwait without ministry approval. Al-Eidan previously disclosed that Iraqi artist Huda Hussein was replaced by her fellow citizen artist Elham Al-Fadala in the play "The Second Floor." She also mentioned that a replacement actress for artist Maram is being sought, following the decision to halt the performance of the play "In the Good Old Days," which was set to be presented during Eid Al-Fitr due to the involvement of the cast from "One Wife Is Not Enough."
The Kuwaiti series "One Wife Is Not Enough," starring Huda Hussein (of Iraqi descent) along with Arab artists, sparked widespread controversy in the country coinciding with its airing during Ramadan, as many Kuwaitis argued that it does not respect the customs and traditions of Kuwait. Consequently, the Ministry of Information announced the referral of 14 artists and the writer of the work to public prosecution following their participation in the series, along with a decision prohibiting the cast from participating in works in Kuwait.
