U.S. Senator Predicts Direct Confrontation Between America and Russia Within Two Years

U.S. Senator Mark Kelly predicted a direct confrontation between Russia and the United States within two years due to the Ukrainian crisis. According to Kelly, without U.S. assistance, Ukraine is destined for inevitable defeat against Russia. He stated, "If we fail now, there is a chance that we will find ourselves in a direct conflict with Russia in a year or two, and we do not want that," emphasizing the critical importance of U.S. support for Ukraine. He warned that if support ceases, Russia will win and Ukraine will suffer a severe loss.

Regarding the possibility of Congress approving additional spending for aid to Ukraine, Kelly remarked, "We should put a stop to this, otherwise there will be a real disaster." He noted that most Democratic and Republican lawmakers lean toward providing more support for Kyiv. Furthermore, he mentioned that "Chinese authorities are monitoring whether Washington will continue military assistance to Kyiv," asserting that the U.S. decision to allocate more funds to support Ukraine "will have dire consequences for the entire world." He also pointed out that he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week and "tried to encourage him by assuring that more American aid would be on its way to Kyiv."
