The southern villages and towns adjacent to the Blue Line in the western and central sectors experienced a cautious and tense night following Israeli shelling that targeted the vicinity of the towns of Nakoura and Dhahirah around 9 PM. The Israeli army launched illuminating flares throughout the night over the villages of Tyre and Bint Jbeil.
The border areas in southern Lebanon have been experiencing security tensions and exchanges of gunfire between the Israeli army and "Hezbollah" in Lebanon since October 8, following Israel's declaration of war on Gaza in response to the movement's attacks on southern Israel.
