Jordanian Raad Al-Jbour named his newborn son "Senwar," after the Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Senwar, sparking varied reactions on social media. Activists shared the child's birth certificate and engaged in discussions, with some celebrating the choice while others expressed concern for the child's future. The father, Senwar, posted on the social media platform "X" stating that his child is only a week old and has already experienced "the outcry of the racists." He added that "the Jordanian government supports the Palestinian cause and people and does not interfere with children's names," in response to a tweet referencing the closure of a restaurant named "October 7" in Jordan.
