Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, posted a video on Telegram showing a masked Israeli soldier threatening Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi. The soldier stated in the video: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this video is directed at you: we, the reserve soldiers, do not intend to hand over the keys to any Palestinian authority, nor do we intend to hand the keys of Gaza to any entity, Hamas, Fatah, or any other Arab entity."
He continued: "Reserve soldiers are behind you and we want to achieve victory. We have one chance in life; you have 100,000 reserve fighters ready to sacrifice for Israel, ready to die. We have lost everything; we have lost our families, our businesses, and there is nowhere else for us to go. We will remain here until the end, until victory."
Following the posting of this video, calls have emerged in Israel for the arrest and trial of Yair Netanyahu on charges of inciting rebellion against the military, which carries a penalty of up to 5 years.
