Putin Urges Russian Families to Have More Children: Here's Why!

Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that large families in Russia should become the norm, and that the country is confidently moving toward this goal. In a meeting with families who received the "Parenting Glory" and "Hero Mother" awards, as reported by Russian media, Putin emphasized that "children represent unparalleled happiness for parents, and perhaps they are the most important thing for anyone. Such an example inspires young people who are just starting their adult lives."

He added, "Of course, the trend in Russia should become families with three children or more, and this should become a natural lifestyle. We are specifically moving in this direction."

Putin explained that the authorities base all their decisions on the interests of families and children, and those families should be confident of state support. He stated, "All our activities and government actions are practically centered around the interests of families and children, in various areas, including the development of housing programs and revitalizing our towns and villages. Families and parents should be assured that the state is ready to provide them with the necessary support."
