An security source revealed today, Monday, that urgent orders have been issued to investigate an unidentified drone found south of Wasit Province. The source stated that "urgent orders were issued to investigate an unidentified drone discovered by chance in an agricultural area near Al-Bashair sub-district in southern Wasit, which is slightly damaged."
The source added that "the identity of the drone cannot be accurately determined before conducting the investigation and announcing its results, but there are preliminary speculations that it may have come from one of the neighboring countries and crashed due to a technical malfunction."
The source also noted that "it cannot be definitively concluded that the drone is a suicide drone, meaning it carries an explosive payload, and a specialized team is awaited to examine it in order to determine if it is a reconnaissance drone or a suicide drone."
