Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka held talks today, Thursday, with Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce Ling Ji in Beijing, marking the first high-level visit by a Ukrainian government official to China in nearly four years. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce reported Ling saying, "China is ready to expand its imports of high-quality products from Ukraine to develop economic and trade cooperation between the two countries." For his part, Kachka noted that "Ukraine hopes to increase its agricultural product exports to China." He added, "The Ukrainian side will intensify efforts to protect projects financed by China in Ukraine, and we are ready to work with China to strengthen the healthy and sustainable consolidation of economic and trade relations between the two countries."
