New Israeli Threat: "To Strike the Capital Beirut"

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich indicated that "it is necessary to strike the capital of terrorism, Beirut, so it can focus on rehabilitating itself after our blows." The Israel Defense Forces radio reported Smotrich saying to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, "We stand by you to achieve a decisive outcome and we will stand against you if you choose to surrender." He emphasized that the proposal presented by U.S. President Joe Biden is dangerous, stating to Netanyahu, "We will oppose it with full force if you choose defeat." Smotrich asserted that "those who talk about establishing a Palestinian state are discussing a state of terrorism, and we will not allow that."
