The Turkish presidency announced that "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin today, Wednesday, the war in Gaza and ways to end the conflict in Syria." The statement added after the meeting of the two presidents on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kazakhstan that Erdogan informed Putin that Ankara could help establish a foundation for ending the Ukrainian-Russian war and that reaching a fair peace suitable for both sides is possible.
