The Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, told his visitors yesterday that the conclusion from the recent legislative session and extension is that without embarking on the train of consensus, nothing can be achieved. He suggested that it is possible to reflect the latest parliamentary scene onto the presidential elections, provided there is a genuine will for consensus among the parliamentary blocs. He spoke about how some parliamentary blocs refused to convene and sit at the dialogue table, which could have saved a lot of time instead of wasting it all. Ultimately, he emphasized that matters cannot stabilize unless a consensus option is pursued, which would lead to electing a president for the country and strengthening the nation and its institutions.
