The White House announced on Thursday that the United States will give priority to delivering air defense systems to Ukraine and will send urgently needed weapons to Ukraine before fulfilling requests from other countries. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that "the U.S. government has made the difficult but necessary decision to rearrange the priorities of planned near-term deliveries from foreign military sales to other countries, particularly Patriot and NASAMS missiles, to be sent to Ukraine."
