Meeting Between Berri and Al-Arouri: To Halt Atrocities Committed by the Occupation in Gaza

A leadership delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas," headed by the deputy chairman of its political bureau, Saleh Al-Arouri, met with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, in his office in Ain el-Tineh. The meeting was attended by Hamas political bureau member Gazi Hamad, the head of the external relations department Ali Baraka, the movement's representative in Lebanon Ahmad Abdul Hadi, and the head of Palestinian relations in the "Amal" Movement, Mohammad Jbawe. The delegation expressed gratitude to Berri for his supportive stances towards the Palestinian people and their just cause.

According to a statement issued by Hamas, Al-Arouri presented the developments of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, launched by the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian resistance on October 7, in response to the occupation's violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails, and the continued aggression of the occupation against all Palestinian territories. He emphasized that "the Al-Aqsa Flood battle shattered the myth of the invincible army," considering that "the occupation, through its crimes and massacres, is trying to cover up its historical defeat." He called on countries around the world to stop the Zionist aggression, put an end to the crimes of the occupation, and ensure humanitarian convoys can enter the sector, reaffirming that the Palestinian resistance continues to control the course of the battle and will not relent in achieving its objectives.

On his part, Berri regarded the events of October 7 as a strong slap in the face of the occupation, paying tribute to the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance, which dealt a historic defeat to the occupation army. He condemned the war crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza, urging all countries and parliaments to "work to stop the massacres being committed by the occupation in Gaza."
