# Buckingham Palace Denies "Statement of King Charles III's Death"

# Buckingham Palace Denies

The press office of Buckingham Palace has denied rumors about the death of Britain's King Charles III, following a claim that he died suddenly at the age of 75 on Sunday evening. In a statement to the RIA Novosti agency, the palace said that King Charles "continues to manage official and private affairs."

The denial came after a statement circulating on social media, attributed to the palace, claimed that the king had died unexpectedly. Additionally, images and videos showing the British flag at half-mast over the palace also circulated, which turned out to be old footage taken during the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

Reports also emerged that the BBC was alerted to be "on standby" for an announcement from the royal family at any moment, although the network did not confirm this. It is known that prior to major announcements, Buckingham Palace warns the media to be prepared, such as the announcement regarding King Charles's cancer diagnosis last February, which was communicated to some reporters.

The British royal family has faced a wave of criticism following the palace's release of an edited photo of Princess of Wales Kate Middleton with her children for Mother's Day. Kate later apologized "for any confusion" caused by the photo that was released, admitting that she was the one who edited the image. This incident raised numerous questions about the health of the wife of the British heir apparent, who has not made a public appearance since December of last year.
