Ministry of Tourism Participates in Future of Hospitality Summit in Riyadh

The Ministry of Tourism participated in the Future of Hospitality Summit currently taking place in Riyadh, which will run until May 1st. The summit features a selection of industry leaders and decision-makers in hospitality investment to discuss hotel development, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the sector. The ministry showcased its efforts to promote the hospitality sector under the Tourist Investment Enablement Program and the recently launched initiative for enabling hospitality sector investments at a dedicated booth in the accompanying exhibition. Additionally, they highlighted significant efforts to train professionals in the hospitality sector through various training programs initiated by the ministry.

Eng. Mahmoud Abdulhadi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism for Destination Enablement, participated in a discussion session titled "Investment Opportunities in the Hospitality Sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030," where he reviewed the growth and development prospects of the hospitality sector in the Kingdom. He addressed the substantial incentives and facilitation measures provided by the ministry through several programs and initiatives to encourage investors to invest their capital in this promising tourism sector.

The ministry's participation in the Future of Hospitality Summit aligns with its ongoing efforts to develop the hospitality sector. Recently, it launched the Tourist Investment Enablement Program and the Hospitality Sector Investment Enablement Initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment to enhance investments in targeted destinations across various regions of the Kingdom. The initiative aims to contribute to achieving the goals of the National Tourism Strategy by creating new investments in those destinations amounting to 42.3 billion Riyals, contributing approximately 16.4 billion Riyals to the local economy, and generating 120,000 jobs, in addition to increasing the supply of 42,000 additional hotel rooms. It also aims to enhance the Kingdom's position as a leading tourist destination.
