Kuwaiti media personality Fajr Al-Saeed criticized the recent appearance of actress Shaimaa Saif after she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, which resulted in a noticeable weight loss. Fajr shared a photo of Shaimaa Saif on her official Instagram account through the story feature, showing her recent appearance with media figure Yasmin Ezz. Fajr commented: "Shaimaa Saif has lost weight and her humor has become heavy... She used to make me laugh so much and now she breaks my heart. What a pity, we've lost a comedy star."
Shaimaa Saif revealed new details about why she lost 50 kilograms suddenly, explaining that she had a joint issue which led her doctor to suggest a joint replacement surgery. She said: "I went to the doctor because of joint pain, and he requested that I undergo a joint replacement, which shocked me, and I refused. I then went to my personal doctor and had a gastric sleeve procedure."
Shaimaa continued, "After the operation, I lost nearly 50 kilograms, which helped resolve my joint problem, and I feel much better now."
On another note, media personality Fajr Al-Saeed expressed her gratitude to Kuwait and its Emir on her account on "X," saying: "I don't know if Kuwait has become beautiful or after Mishal Al-Hazm we started to see Kuwait with optimistic eyes… May God prolong your life, Your Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and may He keep the blessing of firmness upon us."
