Increase in Immigration Discussion Among Israelis on Social Media

Israeli channel 12 reported that "the discussion about immigration among Israelis on social media has recently increased by more than 100%." Earlier today, the "Zman Israel" website reported data from the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority, stating that approximately 550,000 Israelis have left Israel and have not returned during the first six months of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since October 7, in addition to the escalation with Hezbollah in the north. The website noted that what could have started as a temporary escape for Israelis during the war, or a technical difficulty in returning, has now turned into a permanent trend (permanent immigration). There are millions of Israelis with dual citizenship, holding at least one other nationality alongside their Israeli citizenship.
