Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the Safety Fund for Orphan Futures today, Tuesday, and met with several students from the fund who shared their stories and aspirations with her. She learned about the Ramadan campaign launched by the fund titled "A Push of Hope Gives Safety," aimed at encouraging community members to share the responsibility and support orphaned youth in securing a better future.

Queen Rania expressed her pride in the young men and women of the fund, urging them to take pride in themselves and their achievements, as well as what she heard from them today. She stated, "You have a family that is always standing by you; the Safety Fund is not an institution, the Safety Fund is family." She added that this family includes everyone who has worked, contributed, or provided support to the fund to stand by the youth.

She exchanged conversation with the beneficiaries of the fund's diverse programs, reminiscing with her about special moments that opened up educational and professional pathways for them. The youth presented her with a gift to mark Mother's Day, expressing their gratitude for what she has provided through the fund.

The Safety Fund has impacted the lives of 4,866 young men and women, including 1,008 orphans who are graduates of care homes, and 3,858 orphaned students from various provinces of the kingdom. The proportion of females among the total beneficiaries is 66 percent. The fund directs the youth towards sectors that provide job opportunities for them in the future.

Approximately 17 percent of the total beneficiaries enrolled in vocational training programs, while 73 percent joined bachelor’s programs at public and private universities, and 10 percent pursued associate’s degrees at community colleges.
