Iraq: Return of Nearly 900 Displaced Individuals from the Last Camps in Sulaymaniyah

Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, announced today, Thursday, the return of approximately 900 displaced individuals from the last camps in Sulaymaniyah to their original areas. The Ministry of Migration and Displacement stated in a release that Jabro announced the return of 872 displaced individuals from the (Ashti) camp, the last camp in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, to their original residences in the Yathrib district of Salah al-Din Governorate and Sinjar district of Nineveh Governorate. The ministry added that, following the minister's directives, the ministry's staff delivered financial grant checks totaling four million dinars, in addition to durable goods (a plasma screen, a stove, a refrigerator) and relief materials to the returning families.
