The show "One Wife is Not Enough" has dominated search engines in recent hours following the announcement by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information that it has referred the producers of the show to the Public Prosecution for allegedly offending the values and morals of Kuwaiti society.
The real reason for the referral of the creators of "One Wife is Not Enough" to the Public Prosecution emerged when the Assistant Undersecretary for Press and Publication, Lafi Al-Subaie, announced the suspension of anyone who participated in any artistic work that harms Kuwaiti society from participating in any artistic work filmed in Kuwait or theatrical performances presented in Kuwait.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Information decided to refer the actors involved in "One Wife is Not Enough" to the Public Prosecution for accusations of offending the values and morals of Kuwaiti society.
The Ministry of Information stated that its role is to preserve the values and traditions of Kuwaiti society and highlight its true image, showcasing its adherence to the values and morals that the Kuwaiti people have upheld since ancient times, in addition to working professionally and diligently to maintain and elevate public taste.
In light of this, the mobile telecommunications company "Zain" decided to cancel the theatrical performance "In the Time of Zain" following the referral of the playwright and some actors to the Public Prosecution by the Ministry of Information based on a television series that included insults to the values and ethics of Kuwaiti society.
