Southern Front Remains Active: Ongoing Shelling

An Israeli aircraft conducted an airstrike this Tuesday afternoon, launching two successive attacks on an open area between the towns of Jabshit and Shoukin, dropping a guided missile in each strike, with the loud explosions echoing throughout the Nabatieh region. The Israeli shelling also targeted the Bishop's Hill in the Hammass area of Serda and Wadi Khaled. Additionally, one of the Lebanese Army centers in the south, the Al-Hamra center in Aytaroun, was targeted by artillery from a Merkava tank, without any reported injuries.

The operations room of the Islamic Scouts Association reported that the rescue team in the town of Tulin transported two injury cases by ambulance due to the shelling the town endured. For its part, the "Islamic Resistance" announced the targeting of a location in Zibdin using appropriate weapons, as well as targeting a group of Israeli soldiers near the Dovif Barracks, resulting in casualties among their ranks.

In a statement, the Islamic Resistance declared: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their brave resistance... On Tuesday, 26-12-2023, at 12:00 PM, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted a monitoring room near the Chomaira barracks with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits and resulting in casualties among the personnel present."

Israeli emergency services reported four injuries, one of which was serious, following the fall of an anti-tank missile near the village of Ikrit at the border with Lebanon. Israeli reconnaissance warplanes have been continuously flying over the border areas between Lebanon and Palestine.
