Initial Study: The Electrical Infrastructure in the Sports City is Tragic

Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. George Klass received Mr. Murad Ali Murad, the head of the Murad Company, and his team in his office, in the presence of the acting General Director of the Ministry Dr. Fadia Hallal, General Director of Facilities Mohammad Awidat, Head of the Public Relations Department Hassan Sharara, and Minister's Office Director Hussein Omar.

Murad informed Minister Klass about the initial study prepared by the company and submitted to the ministry "for free" regarding the state of electricity, its network, and extensions in the Camille Chamoun Sports City, concluding that this "situation is entirely tragic."

Minister Klass thanked Murad and his team for their patriotism and responsiveness to the ministry's request, asking the company to conduct a study on the possibility and cost of securing electricity solely for irrigating the playing field and lighting essential facilities, which include changing rooms for players and referees, the main entrance, and bathrooms. This study will also be provided by the company "for free."

The ministry, with the gracious assistance of Murad Company and other parties, is working on preparing the necessary study to secure electricity, followed by water, to ensure the sustainable irrigation of the playing field, thus providing the essential infrastructure needed for land reclamation and facilitating the work of the Egyptian engineering team upon their arrival in Lebanon.
