The Russian Federal Security Service has arrested a resident of Tambov who, upon the orders of Ukrainian intelligence, was preparing for bombings near regional judicial institutions and arbitration courts. This was announced by the public relations center of the Federal Security Service, stating: "Security personnel halted the illegal activities of a Russian citizen born in 1980 who was preparing to detonate explosive devices near the regional courts and arbitration courts of Tambov, under the direction of specialized Ukrainian security agencies."
Details reveal that Russian railway employees noticed a suspicious man placing unknown objects among construction debris while conducting an inspection near the Tambov railway station. Upon examining the area, two homemade explosive devices were found under the construction rubble, which were subsequently defused, and the suspect was arrested.
The center added: "The detained individual reported that after the start of the special military operation, he regularly visited various social networks and different websites, including those of Ukrainian-affiliated terrorist organizations, where he was recruited in June/July 2023 by Ukrainian intelligence to carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks on Russian territory."
In early March, he was tasked with carrying out sabotage and terrorist acts against the Tambov regional courts and the Tambov Arbitration Court. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under part one of article 30 and part one of article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist act).
