The United States issued counter-terrorism sanctions today, Thursday, related to Yemen against individuals and entities linked to the Houthi financial mediator, Said Al-Jamal. The Treasury Department stated that the measures involve approximately 12 individuals and a ship, including Malaysian citizen residing in Indonesia, Muhammad Ruslan bin Ahmad, and Chinese citizen Chuang Liang who resides in China, "who facilitated illicit shipments and participated in money laundering on behalf of the network."
