The European Parliament voted on a new anti-Russia resolution that emphasizes continued support for Ukraine while calling for the seizure of frozen Russian assets in the European Union. The resolution, published on the European Parliament's website, states: "The European Parliament calls on the European Union to establish a reliable legal framework for the seizure of frozen Russian state assets in the EU." The resolution, proposed by the European People's Party, the largest political group in the European Parliament elections of 2024, received the support of 495 members, opposed by 137, while 47 abstained from voting.
