Violent Explosions Shake the Area Around Sayyida Zainab in Rural Damascus (Video)

The Syrian news agency reported that air defenses intercepted hostile targets in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus. According to Israeli media, Israeli raids targeted the Suleiman camp in the Ghouta area near the town of Beit Sahem, where Iranian military sites are located. Explosions were heard in the Sayyida Zainab area in rural Damascus, and there are reports of a house being hit, with confirmations that the attack was very intense and resulted in human casualties. Smoke was seen rising from behind buildings in the Mezzeh area. Civil defense and firefighting teams were dispatched to the site of one of the Israeli missiles’ impact near the Yarmouk refugee camp south of Damascus.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated, “Around 21:35 this evening, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial assault from the occupied Golan Heights targeting several points in rural Damascus.” The ministry added, “Our air defense systems intercepted the Israeli aggression's missiles and shot down most of them, with damages limited to material loss.”

The Syrian Observatory reported that "Israeli missiles targeted two sites belonging to Iranian and Hezbollah elements in rural Damascus.” It added, “There are casualties from Hezbollah due to the Israeli raid on Sayyida Zainab and Beit Sahem in rural Damascus.” "Sputnik" released a video it received from the site of one of the missile impacts.
